I just received the following note from Ken Haydu, Meteorologist in Charge
at the NWS office in Wilmington regarding the severe weather event that
occurred on August 9, 2000:
You all did a great job providing us with real time reports. There is no doubt in my mind that this information saved lives. Thanks, Ken
To all of the hams (and other spotters) that helped keep tabs on the severe
weather, well done.
