Amateur Radio Class

WARN always needs more eyes and ears in the field to report severe weather information directly to the National Weather Service. YOU CAN HELP! We often are asked how one gets licensed to use ham radio. Well, we’ve got exciting news about one of the fastest and easiest ways we’ve seen to get licensed.

Local amateur radio clubs OH-KY-IN, and the Queen City Emergency Net have teamed up to present a one-day intensive preparation for the Technician license. The session will be held Saturday March 21, 2009 at the Salem Presbyterian Church, 3132 Mozart Ave., near the intersection of Harrison and Boudinot in Western Hills/Cheviot.

Area hams are encouraged to pass the word to friends who would like to become licensed.

An exam session is scheduled for the next Saturday, March 28, at noon, at the same location.
