WARN is very excited to host the National Weather Service's Advanced Severe Weather Spotter Course on Saturday, April 10, 2010. While we (the Weather Amateur Radio Network) are acting as hosts, this class IS NOT just for ham radio operators. However, class size is limited and registration is required. Registration for the advanced class was closed at 11:30pm on 4/9/2010. To insure we do not exceed capacity we cannot admit anyone without a reservation.
We're happy to be working with the fine folks at the Vineyard Community Church who are providing us with a location for the course. It will be in the Vineyard Resource Center (VRC) in the church complex. The Resource Center is well marked with signs. (This is NOT the same building we used 3 years ago when we last hosted this class at Vineyard.)
Each year the Wilmington, Ohio office of the National Weather Service does one Advanced course somewhere in their area. They move it around between the metropolitan areas of Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati. This year is Cincinnati's turn. Please click here for the course agenda.
The doors will open at 8:00am and the class will begin at 8:30am. The NWS personnel have been hard at work putting the finishing touches on what promises to be a great program. Class will conclude at 1:00pm.

No matter where you are coming from, you will want to get to I-275 and exit to southbound route 747. This is one exit west of I-75. Tri-County Mall sits at this intersection. Merge immediately left. (Do not enter the mall.) At the south end of the mall property is Kemper Road. Turn left on Kemper. Merge to the right lane. Look for Best Buy on your right. Turn right on Century Blvd., just past Best Buy. When Century Blvd. dead ends, turn left on Century Circle. When Century Circle ends at the roundabout, take the driveway that is to the left from the direction from which you approached. This will lead to the parking lot of Vineyard Resource Center.
